Hollin Hills Fourth of July Picnic

Saturday, July 4, 2009
12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Voigt Park (corner of Paul Spring and Rippon Roads)
Rain or Shine

NOTE: Paul Spring Rd will be closed by the police to vehicular traffic from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the morning of July 4 for the Hollin Hills Parade.

The July 4th community picnic is a long-standing Hollin Hills tradition. For many years, this family event has brought together residents and former residents of Hollin Hills for an afternoon of socializing, good food, games, and patriotic display.

The Civic Association provides hot dogs, beer and soda. Attendees bring salads, side dishes, and desserts. Once again, the picnic will feature music provided by a live orchestra, pony rides and, of course, a bike decorating and blueberry bake-off contest. This is an excellent opportunity for new, current, and former members of the community to socialize.

Please note that the community picnic is for CAHH members. If you have not joined the association or renewed your membership, see the membership information below. Or bring your check book and renew at the membership table at the picnic.

NEW THIS YEAR: We will be adding a parade down Paul Spring Rd. It starts at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of Rebecca Dr. and Paul Spring Rd. and ends at Voigt park. Please contact Gail McNulty if you wish to be in the parade.

Anyone with questions about the picnic, or wishing to help out with any of the myriad tasks, is welcome contact Robert Fina via email or at (703) 718-0804.
