Civic Association of Hollin Hills

The Civic Association of Hollin Hills (CAHH) is an all-volunteer, democratically elected, membership organization that connects the people together in the spirit of community to maintain the unique character of Hollin Hills and support our obligations. As such, CAHH: 

  • is organized for pleasure, recreation, and other nonprofitable purposes,
  • provides an opportunity for personal contact among members and membership must be limited. The club must be supported by membership fees, dues, and assessments. (a Section 501(c)(7) requirement)

  • manages more than 30 acres of parkland and trails for recreational purposes, 

  • celebrates civic and community participation through social, networking and educational events,

  • provides a forum for discussion of issues in the community's history, architecture, landscaping, natural resources and the environment, and sustainability, 
  • takes a non-political leadership role in the formation of local and regional issues impacting the community, 
  • coordinates with the Friends of Hollin Hills (FOHH), an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to our community,  
  • makes recommendations to the Mount Vernon Council of Citizens’ Associations (MVCCA) and the Fairfax County Federation of Citizens Associations (Fairfax Federation), and
  • promotes cooperation and communication among the community, association members and with other organizations and individuals.
