Civic Association of Hollin Hills

Hollin Hills Bocce Court

In 2021, volunteers built a bocce court in the south end of Voigt park, along Rippon Road.

Bocce Courts may not be reserved for use. Resident players may use the courts on a first-come, first-served basis.

How to play?

1. Form into two Teams (2-4 players)

2.  Coin Toss*. The team that wins the coin toss can choose to either have first toss of the pallina or the color of the balls they will.

*And yes, you can play "play rock, paper, scissors" between the two captains to determine.

2. One team tosses the pallino (little ball) down court.

3. Teams alternate tossing bocce balls, trying to get closest to the pallino or to knock the opponents balls away.

4.  The closest team scores points for each ball closer than the opposing teams' balls.

5. The First team to 11 (or 15) points, WINS❗

Got time?

A regulation game is played to 11 or 15 points best out of three. The first team to reach the specified score 2 out of three matches wins.

Enjoy your time at the Hollin Hills Bocce Court!
