The holidays are a time to get lit! The Merry Elves of the Civic Association are excited to hold the annual Hollin Hills House Decorating - AND - Mailbox Decorating Contest, open to all Hollin Hills homes and residents. Let’s light up the neighborhood and get into the holiday spirit! Awards will go to the houses and mailboxes with best lights, best tree, most mid-century modern inspired, and overall presentation. Enter your house or mailbox via by registering through our website so we can share your location with our neighbors!

Decorate and enter our house or mailbox by December 15.  Residents will be emailed a form to cast their votes on December 16. Voting can take place until 11:59pm on December 22 with the winners announced around December 23. Please note that the contest is for exterior house decorations and mailbox decorations only, and viewing should be done from the street outside the residence only – please have fun and respect residents’ privacy! To spread the cheer, only one winner per category!

Categories are: 

1.”Lights, Lights, Baby!”- Best, BIGGEST, BOLDEST lights on a house.
2.”Spruce It Up!”- Best tree (can be indoor or outdoor but must be visible from the street - no peeking into windows - don't do it).
3.”Blast From the Past!”- Most mid-century inspired house.
4. Blast from the Past Mailbox - Most mid-century inspired mailbox.
5.”Best Dressed Holiday Mailbox - the mailbox that's having the most fun in a winter wonderland.
